What to Expect
1. Your First Visit
At your first visit, you will receive a comprehensive evaluation that identifies risks for obesity and other chronic health conditions. Blood analysis will be conducted to evaluate your blood chemistry, thyroid levels, sugar levels, and cholesterol. A decision will be made on what medications to be prescribed based on your evaluation. A plan will also be made on meals and exercise regimen.
2. After the First Visit
After your first visit, you will receive a starter pack in the mail which includes a scale, measuring tape and a journal.
You will be expected to measure your waist circumference and weigh yourself before every visit. This should be recorded in your journal.
3. During Every Visit
At every visit, you will be expected to discuss your food journal and exercise regimen
Depending on how you tolerate the medication, adjustments are made monthly.
If indicated, at your 6 month appointment, we will repeat your labs to see if there are any improvements in your metabolic profile.

Blissful Minds contracts with multiple pharmacies in the area to provide you with reasonable price options. A price list for each pharmacy will be sent to you and you can decide what pharmacy you want your medication sent. You will pay for your medication at the pharmacy. Note that we do not control these prices.
What Are The Weight Loss Telemedicine Treatments?
Lifestyle Modifications
This is indicated for individuals with BMI of 25 to 29.9 without comorbidities. Examples of comorbidities includes diabetes, hypertension, liver disease, heart disease, and kidney disease.
Treatment could include restrictive or non-restrictive diets like intermittent fasting or prescriptive nutritional interventions as well as planned exercises. Individuals can expect 2% to 10% weight loss depending on the type of intervention.
Medications
- Semaglutide (Ozempic, wegovy, Rybelsus)
- Tirzepatide (Mounjaro, zepbound)
These medications, work by activating GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) hormone receptors and GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide). Semaglutide activates the GLP-1 receptor only, while Tirzepatide activates both the GIP and GP-1. These medications interact with the appetite centers of the brain. This leads to appetite suppression, decreased gastric emptying, and increased satiety or fullness. These medications have also been found to decrease the risk of cardiovascular events such as heart attacks, strokes, and cardiovascular deaths.
The choice of medication depends on your weight loss goals and how well you tolerate the medication. Finances also plays a major role as tirzepatide is more expensive given that it targets two receptors leading to greater weight loss.
